Art jeweller & Designer Julie Lorraine Brown is a sci-artist and art jeweller from Glasgow, Scotland, UK. 

​

Julie is a graduate of Birmingham's prestigious School of Jewellery (2013). Having previously studied silversmithing and jewellery design at Glasgow's Metropolitan college.

 

Julie launched JLAJ in 2019 and is releasing her first post graduate body of work in 2022.

 

The Dark | Matter Collection explores the existence of non-baryonic matter and the scientific endeavour to understand and measure it. 

 

Working from the residents studio at Vanilla Ink CIC in Glasgow. Julie creates wearable art inspired by the human exploration of the universe through scientific enquiry and experimentation.

Previous works include pieces describing the life cycles of stars, the smell of rain as well as buckles & brooches celebrating the Hubble telescope.
